Todd Machover, Muriel R. Cooper Professor of Music and Media, Dean of the MIT Media Lab, and Director of the Opera of the Future Analysis Group, stated: George Peabody Medal for outstanding contributions to American music and dance — the very best honor bestowed by Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins College.
