Iceland’s Litri Furtur volcano to erupt in July 2023

Photographer Kristin Magnusson captured this fiery scene of fiery lava erupting from Iceland’s Litri Furtur volcano. The volcano started erupting on July 10, the day this picture was taken, marking the third time in simply two years that lava has flowed from the Fagradalsfjall volcanic area in southwestern Iceland.

This splendidly preserved fossil reveals the second when the 5 petals of a flower emerged. Symprokos Kowalewski Flowers launched pollen greater than 33.9 million years in the past. At roughly 28 millimeters in diameter, this specimen is the most important amber-encased flower ever found. First found in 1872, he was lastly described intimately by two scientists in January 2023, greater than 150 years after his discovery.

California’s unusually moist winter led to a spectacular “superbloom” of wildflowers in April. At Cariso Plain Nationwide Monument, Mario Tama photographed some walkers among the many golden flowers, together with fiddleneck.Amsinkia) and California Gold Mines (Lastenia California). Large atmospheric river storms (skinny bands of concentrated moisture within the air) contributed to historic ranges of rainfall within the state.

On this shot, an uncommon big lenticular cloud looms over Villarrica, certainly one of Chile’s most energetic volcanoes. The lava contained in the crater illuminates the clouds from beneath, giving them a brilliant orange glow. Lenticular clouds are a stationary sort of cloud that usually seem like alien craft. Photographer Francisco Negroni uncovered his digicam for 4 minutes to take the picture.

The blizzard dumped greater than 2.5 meters of snow in some areas, trapping a whole bunch of individuals of their properties for weeks.
