The free version of Screaming Frog’s crawler is perfect if you want to perform a simple audit on a large number of URLs. The free version is limited to 500 URLs, making it ideal for crawling small websites.

My favorite free tools from Ahrefs are A.W.T. Among them, site audit is my favorite feature. Once set up, it’s a completely hands-free way to track the technical performance of your website and monitor its health.
If you already have access to Google Search Console, it’s easy to set up a free AWT account and schedule a technical crawl of your website.

Ahrefs’ SEO toolbar is free chromium and Firefox This extension helps you diagnose technical points in your pages or carry out fast spot checks in your web site’s pages.

GA gives you a comprehensive view of your website traffic from a variety of sources, including direct, social, organic, and paid traffic.

GA4 allows you to create and track up to 300 events and 30 conversions. Previously, Universal Analytics could only track 20 conversions. This makes it easier to track conversions and events within GA4.

Google Slides is Google’s version of Microsoft PowerPoint. If you don’t have a dashboard set up to create reports, The next best thing when it comes to SEO performance is to assemble a slide deck.
Many SEO agencies present their reports through dashboard insights or PowerPoint presentations. However, if you don’t have access to PowerPoint, Google Slides is a great (and free) alternative.

One of my favorite features is the ability to share presentations via video chat directly from Google Slides. To do this, click on the camera icon in the top right corner.

Google Trends lets you see the popularity of keywords in any country over time. The data displayed is not the direct volume of search queries, but relative popularity rates scaled from 0 to 100.

Google Trends helps show you how the popularity of certain searches increases and decreases over time. If you’re dealing with a website that frequently posts trending products, services, or news, it’s helpful to illustrate this visually in your SEO report.
Google Trends makes it easy to spot seasonal trends in product categories. For example, people want to buy a barbecue when the weather is sunny.
Using Google Trends, you can see that peak demand for barbecue typically occurs between June and July of each year.


Using this data from the past five years, we can tell you pretty accurately when barbecue season starts and ends.

Comparing two or more search terms over time is one of my favorite ways to use Google Trends because it can tell the story of itself.


Embellish your reports with trend data to gain further insight into market trends.
